Revelry Day 2016

Revelry Day 2016

Revelry Day was a great success.  Generations of local families celebrated Fathers Day with us on site at the brewery.  Our doors were open for the afternoon and Nelion Ridley conducted Brewery Tours.  Our current range of cask ales were on tap and 900 pints were consumed.  I think it can now be said that we can indeed organise a p**s up in a brewery.

How did it go?

We reckon we had a good 500 plus come through the gates. Mark from Mersea Island provided a sizzling hog roast and BBQ.  Brigitte from Molly Moos Ices brought her beautiful vintage ice-cream van and home made ices.  We had William Cousins and his traditional Punch and Judy outfit and he shaped hundreds of balloons for the children during the course of the afternoon.  Sarah from Felsted Vineyard came and sold her English wines too.  We had a supervised bouncy castle obstacle course and the children were having a high old time.  Some with painted faces!

This was the third event of its kind and feedback proves that people are now making an annual note of it in their diary.  It is a perfect way to spend fathers day.  Something for all the family.  Our brewery shop is open for the whole afternoon and we have special offers on our bottled range for the day.

Make a note for 18th June 2017 if you fancy coming along to the next one.
