Revelry Day success

Revelry Day was a stonking success on Sunday (Father’s Day).  We had in the region of 850 people turn up to enjoy sunshine and beer.  It was fantastic to see generations of the same family grooving to our entertainers Glastonbabies and eating delectable ice-creams from Molly Moos after a succulent hog roast by Sizzling Char-grill from Mersea.  We got through 14 firkins of beer and Nelion gave a couple of brewery tours during the course of the afternoon.  The sun shone and Bishop Nick’s brewery shop was buzzing with people taking beer home to continue the revelry.  Fathers young and old were suitably refreshed and pampered it seemed.  Make sure it is in your diary for next year. Sunday 17th June.  Be there!

REVELRY ’17 (4.2%) Rye IPA now available in cask.

We’ve brewed a Rye IPA especially for Father’s Day this year and we’ve called it Revelry 2017.  It pours a fantastic red colour thanks to the crystal rye malt which also makes it subtly sweet.  And we’ve used a whopping big brash New Zealand hop called Waimea which shouts citrus and pine aromas to balance the toffee sweetness.

We’ve sent it straight off to be bottled in time for Father’s Day so keep an eye out for that.

We will be serving this new Limited Edition beer at our Revelry Day on 18th June.  A family fun afternoon at the brewery with hog roast, children’s entertainment, local wines and of course all our craft ales on tap.  Come along and try it.
