The results are in for the latest round of Great Taste Awards from The Guild of Fine Food and we are thrilled that both of our entries this year garnered gold stars.
All of our core range have now won Great Taste stickers but we decided to see what they made of our new craft Lager - LATIMER. They loved it!!
"This lager has an inviting golden hue with a white foamy head that fades quickly."
"Sweet floral and inviting on the nose, this lager is sweet and fruity on the palate with a crisp dry finish."
"There's a heady bouquet of hops on the nose with bursts of floral notes. This is a well-brewed lager with a robust finish, and slight caramel notes from the Vienna malt."
"There is a spicy, grassy hop character balanced with a persistent smooth lingering bitterness. The cereal and bready character is accompanied by some pleasant orange, brioche and caramel notes. Overall, the judges thought it was a well-balanced and delicious lager."
We also got a gold star for DEVOUT. Whilst this delectable stout isn't part of our core range we have now brewed it every year since 2020 and our customers love it. So it is as CORE as our Limited Editions get!! We thought we would put it forward for the awards and we are glad we did. We have new stock of DEVOUT in bottle and will be brewing it again for cask in the new year.
