Ever wanted to try your hand at brewing? Want to treat someone to an unforgettable experience? This is a unique opportunity to get stuck in and claim the credit for hand-crafting one of Bishop Nick’s ‘Sacred Ales of Essex’!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
7am-2.30pm
Itinerary
7.00am - Welcome introduction. Health & Safety briefing.
- ‘Mashing in’ between 7am-7.10am
- Tea/coffee, light breakfast after mashing in
- Sparging and separation of wort from the mash into the copper
- Digging out the mash tun
- Cleaning, boil underway/addition of hops
- Transfer the beer/pitching of yeast
- Transfer complete, shovelling up the spent hops
- Questions & Answers over a beer or a cuppa and a slice of cake!
2.30pm - Finish
£100 covers x1 Brew Day Experience plus:
Take home:
- 1 x Branded Tee
- 1 x Branded pint glass
- 1 x 5 litre mini-cask of the beer you brewed (to be collected when it is ready)
- 10% off purchases in our brewery shop on the day of the Brew Day Experience
Over 21s only. Photographic proof of age required.
Maximum number of guests per day 2 (£150 for 2 people)
Please note this is a physical day and we recommend warm, old working clothes and wellies/waterproof working boots. If you’d like to experience ‘the mash’ please arrive promptly at 7am.
