Bishop Nick scooped THREE SIBA Awards at SIBA East Beer Competition 2015 this week.

Embers (Amber Ale) got SILVER in the Cask Beer category for Standard Bitters and Pale Ales.  This limited edition beer is still available in 500ml bottle and a small amount left in cask.  It is our Autumn bonfire of a beer.

Our Martyr IPA which always proves very popular with our regular stockists and outlets was awarded BRONZE in the Small Pack category (bottled beer) for Strong Bitters & Pale Ales and BRONZE for cask too.

Beers entered for the SIBA Awards are blind tasted by a panel and the competition is increasingly tough.  The categories we were recognised in are arguably the most hotly contested so we're thrilled.

Nelion Ridley collected the awards on behalf of his team at the ceremony at Elgoods, Wisbech, Cambridge on Wednesday 23rd September and rubbed shoulders with fellow Essex brewers who also took home some gongs - notably Brentwood Brewing Company, Wibblers, Farmers Ales and Nethergate. It was a good result for the county. Craft Ales are good and strong in Essex.
